ERROR: "One or more MEX files for this platform are missing. These files end in the suffix “.mexw32”. I am using windows (8.1 pro) 64 bit. How to resolve it?
You may be using 64-bit Windows, but you are apparently using 32-bit Matlab. Download the 32-bit package and you should be fine.
