Long time no see. I have long owed the user base an update on the future of CVX. I’ve recently taken some important steps in this direction, and more work is coming. Here is a link to the full announcement.

In short, we are transitioning CVX to a more fully open-source model, to ensure that it remains available and usable for the foreseeable future. This includes making Apple Silicon support an official part of the release, and opening up the MOSEK and Gurobi shims so that they no longer require a license to use, and can potentially be updated as the community identifies needed fixes.
